He is a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow and former Chairman of the Charlotte Ethics in Business Award. He is an Elder in the Presbyterian Church and a Trustee of The Outreach Foundation
Mike and his wife Sharon began attending the Vineyard Church of Rock Hill after moving to South Carolina in 2014.
For the best in the industry, success is often measured by client satisfaction and in helping people accomplish their long-term financial goals. “For more than 30 years now I have been having conversations with people about all different facets of their financial lives. These interactions have helped me form a number of convictions about money and about life. Perhaps one of the most compelling of those convictions is this: Your life is not about making money, your money is about making a life. I want to spend the rest of my working life helping people not only get a good return on investments (ROI) but a great return on life (ROL).”
Mike has taken this basic philosophy of financial planning and asset management to another level. With a continual commitment to work with those living on less than $3.00 a day in Third World countries, Mike has discovered that the ‘poorest of the poor’ have much in common with the average middle class American. “Everyone needs access to small amounts of capital to survive and thrive. We take our banking and financial systems in this country for granted but they are unique and they are transformational. I have discovered that the ‘poor’ are ‘rich’ in other ways and we have much to gain by entering into relationships with them. We need them and they need us.”
This kind of servant leadership offers an enormous long-term benefit toward building an organization’s social capital while positively impacting the quality of life for communities and the world.
Proof positive to this statement is Mike’s commitment to Zambia, Africa. Since 2008 Mike has made 10 trips to Southern Africa and has been instrumental in the successful development of an Aquaculture Project. He is busy promoting the formation of other micro-enterprise projects and saving and credit associations in poor communities all over the world. These programs extend small loans and other financial services to the poor for self-employment projects that generate income. This allows them to care for themselves and their families as well as orphans and vulnerable children.
Mike is active in public speaking and is available for presentations to service organizations, corporations, churches and civic groups. His welcoming approach and passionate message endear a wide demographic from teens to senior citizens.

Ben has been a pastor for 17 years. He began as a Youth Pastor and moved on to Associate Pastor, Executive Pastor, and then Interim-Senior Pastor all in the same church. He eventually joined a team of church planters and became the Lead Pastor of Vineyard Church of Rock Hill.
With a business background in college and ministry experience in vocation, Ben has developed a strong passion for integrating business and ministry. When he met Mike Jette in 2014 they began to dream about partnering together to do financial planning from an "eternal perspective.” Ben plans to be a bi-vocational pastor and financial advisor long term.
Together Ben and Mike strive to help their clients manage their money well by giving them the tools to save more, grow more, and give more. Some of the tools they like to use with clients are:
ROL Financial Plan- helping clients measure, plan, and set goals for how much of their finances they allocate to: live (lifestyle spending), give (money they give to causes they love), owe (debt and taxes), and grow (savings and investments).
ROL Investing- helping clients plan ahead, invest, and save wisely. Together with a strong team at Carroll Financial they have over 30 years of investing experience.
ROL Decision Making- helping clients make wise choices by walking through a process that clearly defines the question, prioritizes the criteria, and identifies all the options. Their business is built on doing what is best for their clients. They will strive to keep honesty, transparency, and availability as core values in all of their business practices.
